The large Neovane Impeller Kit fits all the Neovane pumps with the tapered cover that is retained with (2) pin, one on each side. This includes the V105 and variants. The kit includes the oring
Neovane pumps were made throughout the last half of the 20th century
by Hanly Manfacturing. Hanly retired around 1990 and the business was
not purchased or continued.
Several variations of the pumps were manufactured including belt driven, cam driven
some with integral outlet dividers, some without. Aftermarket companies
including Hallcraft and Nicson among others made water outlets
for the Neovane pumps. People frequently mistake the name on the aftermarket
dividers for the name of the pump. A Neovane pump frequently will have
a divider on it with the name Nicson or Hallcraft. Its still a Neovane pump.
To replace the 392101 impeller remove the pump cover by unscrewing the 2 retaining pins. If vanes are
missing off the impeller you need to find them. Typically they
break off and become lodged in fittings or oil coolers. These
broken off vanes can cause overheating even after a new impeller
is installed due to restricted water flow.
Drive the threaded pin out that passes through the impeller and shaft
with a small drift punch. Pull the old impeller off the shaft. Put a little light
grease on the shaft and the inside of the impeller cover. Drive the pin
back through the impeller and shaft so the ends of the pin are
just inside the impeller surface.
To replace the cover push it over the impeller while taking a screwdriver crosswise in the cam
drive and turning the pump while pressing down on the cover. When its down
over the oring replace the retaining pins
Suggested impeller change interval is 1-2 years maximum as rubber
does deteriorate.
