Actuators are Not created Equal !
Our U.S. Manufactured
Danaher / Thomson Hatch Actuators are the finest quality available. A good rule
of thumb is if it's a private label actuator it's most likely
NOT U.S. manufactured and comes from Asia. We tried them years
ago. Poor reliability, longevity, and finish. Simply not worth it to save a
few bucks. Get the Best. Get a quality U.S. manufactured Danaher / Thomson Hatch
Actuator from Rex Marine.
Also a
very important note: Make absolutely sure the actuator you buy is certified
UL Marine. It must say on the label "Ignition Protected" and have
the UL logo. If you use a cheap actuator that does not have these certifications
and ever have a problem that involves fire or explosion, you risk liability
and insurance denial. Not to mention the exposure to having a problem causing
possible damage, injury, or death to passengers. This goes for any marine electrical
device under the engine hatch.
